No-Harm Testing
Upon request, Shelmet uses certified chemical and physical analysis as well as a variety of non destructive tests and inspections, including:
Magnetic particle inspection finds flaws on or just below the surface of ferrous-based materials like steel and iron.
Fluorescent penetrant testing is the most common non-destructive product test which uses a coating of fluorescent dyes and ultraviolet light to reveal any casting imperfections.
Radiography x-ray testing involves the use of penetrating X-rays or gamma radiation to examine parts and products for imperfections.
