Shelmet's ability to solve design challenges resulted in a permanent casting solution for a long-time client.

After years of producting the cylinder pictured to the left, we learned that the customer was experiencing a problem with the part. While this wasn't a production problem, it was something that was frustrating to the client.

Originally this part required that a decal be afixed to the side after production the contained the measurements. The problem the client was experiencing was that the decal would frequently fall off. Shelmet suggested that a permanent scale be incorporated into the permanent casting.
This solved the problem of the disappearing decal.

We then upgraded to a brass alloy. Overall, our permanent casting solution costs less, has better performance, and has extended the life of the part.
